“The Appointment” is the result of improvisatory drawing practice. Bagwell said the title came to mind immediately, as it reminds us of the infinite human experiences that can happen at “the appointment.” Of the two beings, which one is the “expert”, and which one is asking the questions? The subtle ambiguity of this piece allows multiple narratives to exist simultaneously.
