Neferneferuaten Nefertiti was a queen of the 18 th Dynasty in Ancient Egypt, the great royal wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten. The progressive rulers were known for introducing a radical change in national religious policy.

Here is another great example of the artist’s study in geometry. Like the Refracted Women, the artist created this piece using only stencils- no hand drawn lines. The neutral tones exhibit Bagwell’s mastery of color.

Nefertiti’s direct gaze displays the power and mystique she possessed in life. In wall paintings within tombs and temples, she is often depicted as an equal alongside her husband, more so than any other queen in Egyptian history.
